Buck Ryan created a new title in the world of editing-Maestro. He has conducted Maestro Concept storytelling workshops in a dozen countries, including Brazil, China, Russia, Spain, Sweden, and Vietnam. He served as the eighth director of the University of Kentucky's century-old journalism school and has produced five documentaries for public television.
Michael O'Donnell created an award-winning student media outlet at the University of St. Thomas, where he taught editing for 23 years and oversaw high school journalism workshops. He worked with Ryan at the Chicago Tribune, and together they taught editing at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. They have published four books on language skills and editing.
