Synopsis

When the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded on the 26th of April 1986, thousands of people had to leave their homes. The radioactive fallout polluted vast areas around the power plant and therefore, the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone was created.

But life went on in Chernobyl. Hundreds of dogs that were not evacuated were left surrounding the power plant, and they continue top live there today.

Johanna Aulén's comic tells how these dogs are now doing over 35 years later. It is a carefully documented story about the horrible accident, but also of the resilience of the people and nature.
