Synopsis
In this dark fantasy set in a world of Machiavellian Angels and honour code demons, one outcast Angel and a vampire spirit of war must work together to prevent an atrocity causing a spiral into a deadly war between the races.
I am Azshael of the Seventh Flight of Judgement. I serve the Archangel Anael, but I am an outcast among my own people. We came to deliver the word of Excelsis to the vampire Succae but they did not care to listen. We fought a war that neither side could win. In the truce that followed, I became a diplomat and fell in love with the enemy. Her name was Ischae and she is dead now, murdered in the bed we once shared. No one yet knows who killed her. Maybe it was an Angel, angry at me. Maybe it was another one of the Succae, angry at her. There are enemies all around me - some with wings and beautiful faces. Some bare fangs and have a shadow coiled around their souls. They all think I'm a dead Angel walking but if they do, they don't know me at all. I will find the truth and when I do, the heavens will weep as I take my vengeance...
