When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, this book was in its final stages of drafting. Across the world, businesses and families were forced into working and schooling from home. Many scrambled in their attempt to manage life in a virtual way. Thankfully, my team was already settled and prepared, with years of remote working experience already under our belts. Our company, By Referral Only, after 24 years in business, had officially made the transition to full-time remote working in 2015.
Still, adjusting to business after COVID-19 wasn’t easy. Our company suffered a 10 percent drop in revenue because we could no longer hold the live events we’d scheduled for 2020, but this was a far cry from the losses that other companies experienced that year. Our team was fine––more than fine, actually. We did so well that we decided to refocus our efforts and teach our clients the skills and strategies we’d learned and implemented during our transition to remote working.
Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve helped thousands of real estate agents and lenders in the U.S. and Canada
find their way in the new remote-work environment. We assisted them as they learned how to use Zoom and other
technologies to stay in touch with their sphere of influence during an unprecedented time. Those who charged
