Synopsis

When a community lacks leadership, has no character, personality, imagination, creativity, passion, or energy, and lacks a spirit of collective family compassion, you allow the beast to exploit the void. Like vampires, they come and suck the blood out of the village with ease, starting first by manipulating the jibaro in us, working on our decency, trust, and innocence. They use our trust, gathering you, your friends, your family, and your neighbors to sing and dance without investment, feeding you your culture. One can see the belly of the beast, eating away the mind of the body, using his disciples to mislead and misinform, consuming the light of the community, our music, art, language, history, and culture, leaving no sense of character, personality, and harmony, draining hope, allowing gentrification to implement its purpose. One can see the belly of the beast befriending interlopers and politicians, working together to advance their careers on the back of the innocent, erasing the plan for tomorrow, no future to plan, illusions to entrap the human spirit.
