Synopsis
A breakthrough in helical engine design has made interstellar travel feasible. The Proxima Centauri mission is set to depart Earth on an eleven-year, round trip at just under the speed of light. Their mission is to explore the planet, Proxima b, in search of life. Their starship, the Lightspeed1, has a crew of four humans and two sentient robots.
Dr. Logan Maltron is a brilliant, but deranged, NASA scientist. Maltron perfected the helical engine design. But now, Maltron has a deadly surprise in store for the Lightspeed1 astronauts. Will they make it safely back to Earth? What will Earth be like when they return?
