Synopsis
This book is about remembering: remembering the frightful journeys of my grandparents from the Russian Empire in the early 1900s, and the subsequent journeys through life of my parents and my generation. My grandparents wound up in the Bronx and that is where I spent my formative years. This story presents the chain of events and facts that describe the lives of my ancestors and the gifts they provided future generations by making their tumultuous journeys. The book concludes with several fictional tales based on my experiences living in the Bronx in the 1950s and 1960s.
