New residents Sandra and Jimmy are struggling to connect with each other since making the move to Milton Keynes. He is obsessed with his garden and there is a particular patch of dirt that seems to be providing more than just roses and cabbages. While Sandra is enjoying the attentions from a young, attractive man she met on the train. The same young man who seems to be spying on the residents in the Close.

Steve is truly happy for the first time since the accident that put him in a wheelchair. He has friends; he has his faithful dog Oscar, and his lovely girlfriend Mel. A tiny self-destructive voice inside tells him it won’t last long but for now he can ignore the negative noises and enjoy his life.

The Stevenson’s have settled well into life in Jasmine Close, but the trauma they left in London hasn’t finished with them yet.

The recently opened Community Centre is a great success and Belle is proud of how the residents are using it to gather together in friendship and companionship. She feels there is a genuine camaraderie and a great sense of community being created in the new housing estate.

Until they pull a dead body from the canal and all the residents are considered suspects.
