Returning home after a scary adventure in Canada and Montana, an older woman warns Brigid to beware of three witches.

As strange events unfold, she wonders who is Paholainen and why is her mom afraid of her. Is she one of the three witches? Are Darla and her two friends the witches the woman warned her about? Or, are the three witches just in reference to a play Lisa talks about.

As new friendships grow and new enemies appear, reality and magic seem to collide.
