Synopsis

The purpose of this book of stories is to highlight the leadership qualities of some exceptional individuals I have had the opportunity to know and work with over the past five decades. This book is not intended to be about me. On my part, any reference conveying some measure of success is fully attributable to the mercy of God and His faithful hand in the process, sometimes despite me. God revealed Himself to Moses in a burning bush. There was nothing appealing or inherently good in a scrubby, thorny bush. As my Old Testament professor at the Institute for Biblical Studies, Dr. Ralph Alexander, closed out each day’s lesson, “Are you available to God? He doesn’t need our ability, but our availability for Him to do His work and be glorified”.

Hopefully, these stories will offer you some insight as to why these individuals became remarkably successful people, and perhaps why one got lost in his own misguided focus.
