XIANGQI: Introduction to Chinese Chess for beginners.
The basics, Tactics and Strategy, Openings, Middlegame, Endgame, History

With a history spanning millennia, xiangqi (also known as Chinese chess) is played by millions of people in China and various other Asian countries.
Although related to traditional international chess, many peculiarities make the game incredibly unique, fascinating, and complex from a tactical and strategic standpoint.

This book, the first written by a professional player (and world champion) outside of the Asian world, aims to be an introduction for both beginners and those already familiar with the game but looking to improve their strategic and tactical knowledge.
It also provides a comprehensive overview for all chess players who want to discover the numerous similarities and differences between the two games.

The manual starts with the basics of the game and then delves into more specific topics such as tactics, strategy, openings, and endgames.
Each chapter is accompanied by numerous examples, games, or miniatures dedicated to the discussed theme.
Numerous historical games or particularly significant ones are also presented, and ample space is devoted to the history of xiangqi, from its origins to the present day.
