I am a retired geoscience advisor since 2017 living near Pittsburgh, PA. Throughout my 38-year career as a geologist, I have worked for numerous companies in the exploration and production sector of the petroleum industry, while living in such places as West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Texas. During that time my passion was exploring the earth in the search for hydrocarbons. Today I am equally passionate about exploring the world on foot via long distance backpacking adventures. I have traveled across the US and Europe in search of long distance hiking adventures.
