I ran across this quote and found myself thinking back to moments I had with my son. We had so much fun talking and getting to know each other as we moved through our life as a family. Our conversations will forever be some of my favorite memories. Some of my most wonderful memories were when my son and I would talk while I was driving (talking about what was he seeing, singing to songs, learning to count!). Or at the dinner table, either at home or out, it was our time to be silly and make each other laugh, to talk about and try each other's food. It was an experience and a time to understand each other's thoughts. It was during these conversations that we got to know each other, as people. It was our time to learn how another perceives the world.
Too often I see children at restaurants or in their cars, looking at a screen. This book is to be used as a conversation starter with your children and family, a parent partner. This time together is an opportunity as memories can be made here, during conversations instead!
