The following is an account of the Civil War life of James H. Power of the 111th Illinois Volunteer Infantry. During our research of the 111th Illinois Infantry we did not find any regimental history documented for this specific regiment. This is not a complete history of the 111th Illinois Infantry volunteer regiment, however it does give some insight to their movements and experiences. This account was told by James H. Power in 1909.
