Synopsis

This book contains 12 studies that will provide content for between 12 and 24 group meetings - depending on the amount of discussion the group tends to have.

This study presents a broad view of the Christian faith through six chief parts. We will walk through key texts to study a biblical perspective on these six topics. The form of this study will follow a discussion heavy pattern. This will maximize the understanding of the material and allow everyone to apply the material to their own faith and lives. Each session will start with a few background details that help with understanding the concept and connect the account to previous lessons. From there, there will be a few questions in a section labeled “Getting to the Point.” These questions will draw your attention to the study topic and help you to start thinking about the text in your context. Then we will read the text together and spend time with several questions about it. These questions will start by drawing your attention to particular parts of the text and transition to thinking critically about the text, its connection to the rest of Scripture, and its implications for us as God’s people. Finally, the study will turn to questions that will encourage us to think directly about how the lessons apply to our lives and how we can come together as a community to support one another in that.
