Synopsis

This book, Lullabies of Love, was first published under the title If Love? And Other Poems. It contains love lines or love songs and other love-related pieces (poems which either directly or indirectly preach love). It was later made available online via Amazon KDP in 2014. When this collection of poems was first published in 2008, it did not make as much meaning to me as it does today. The poems were written at different points in time on different subject-matters. But now, on a closer and more reflective look at them, I find more cohesion - meaning, harmony and poetry - in them than I ever did then. This is why I now consider them as having harmonious tunes and tones. Thus, as the new title carries, it is a rich collection of Lullabies of Love.

This anthology of poems is divided into four parts namely: Love Lines, Celebrations, Variety, and The Good and Bad. Each of the parts, one way or the other, has something to say about love. Some of the expressions of love are overt while others are covert in their indications of love or love inclination as already said earlier. Hence, the collection of poems promises a swell time as, hopefully, it promises to make a very good read. However, it is pertinent to note that, in line with the current title of the book, some poems that were not in the earlier editions have been added to enrich your reading experience.

The author, Eze Echie, is a very prolific writer, poet, music minister, leader, graphic designer/artist, editor, voracious reader, and scholar from Ahai Ogbakiri in Emohua Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria. Eze is happily married to his pearly treasure, Mercy Eze Echie (nee Orokor) and they are blessed with three Kingdom Kids. He has to his credit the following books: Chei, Ogbakiri Wee! A Great Lament, If Love? And Other Poems, Ezean Reflections for Nigerians, and You Never Can Tell (a gospel music album) plus scores of unpublished works ranging from Christian writings to anthologies of thoughts and poems. Three of his unpublished collections of poems are written in his native language, Ikwere.

You are most welcome on board this poetic adventure.
