Synopsis

A group of preteens (Niece, Jude, Mark, Mikey, Pammy, and Dale) known as the Salisbury Six find themselves mysteriously transported from their clubhouse to a mansion in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. They follow an orb who turns out to be a young Greek spirit, Marissa, who implores them to help her escape her hidden room prison. While helping her, the preteens are frightened by the other ghosts at the mansion. They find that a nondescript stone helps them transport from the present to the past. During their pursuit of the truth, Mikey and Dale are run off the road and followed by strangers in the neighborhood. A local poor man in their neighborhood turns out to hold the answers to the secrets of the mansion. As the preteens solve the mystery of the hidden room and free Marissa, they learn a valuable life lesson that money cannot buy happiness or friends. This is the first book in the series of the Salisbury Six mysteries.
