For nature enthusiasts and art lovers, the Sculpt the World 2027 Wall Calendar showcases photographs of breathtaking land art sculptures created by UK artist and photographer Jon Foreman.
Beaches, forest floors, and even trees become the canvases for masterpieces composed of natural elements collected on site at the art installations. Made with care from stones, pebbles, leaves, moss, and other found flora, the unique artwork creations are intimate dialogues with the earth. “I respond to nature; nature responds to me. A conversation, if you like,” says Jon Foreman of his unique creations.

Jon Foreman’s sublime and sensual land art installations have enchanted viewers from all over the world for more than ten years via Jon’s Sculpt the World internet accounts. Most of Jon’s land art is created along coastlines and within woodlands of the United Kingdom's Pembrokeshire, Wales. Having grown up there, Jon sees the beauty makes use of natural materials to collaborate with nature itself. Stones gathered and placed upon beaches, or leaves and moss within woodlands, form art that captivates. Then the elements and environment interact to produce unique context in every work.
Optical effects are key features of the works, created by manipulation of depth, form, and perspective. Structure, flow, and dispersal are key elements that have defined Jon Foreman's work throughout his career. The stone installations often focus on the contrast between the rock hardness and the feeling of malleability or softness. Monumental drawings raked onto beaches make a connection to the space and environment. Reflections in rock pools adapt light and symmetry.
The selection of each site with inspiring elements and arranging the work is tangible in the finished sculpture. The elements of surface, color, form, and materiality has universal beauty. The act of creating has a mythic center, allowing the people who share these records to look again at ordinary objects conjured into extraordinary and beautiful meditations.
What makes Jon Foreman’s work truly special is its fleeting nature. Often Jon's creations are washed away by the tide, eroded by the wind or even altered by passers-by, but Jon preserves each original creation in photography or film. Yet, for Jon, the impermanence is part of the beauty and the creative process itself.
No artificial intelligence (AI) has been used in the creation of Jon Foreman's artworks.
