Synopsis

Blackjack is back for his third novella because, even though the first two were wholly unnecessary, the author is still laughing at his own jokes, and it costs him nothing but his sanity and possibly marriage to keep doing so. So yeah, here we are—and this time, another author pitches in to add to the mayhem.

While Blackjack does the pulling people into the crap thing for the first two books, this time, he is the pull-ee. When Bernie Cullway, the Mages of the Bay process server, shows up to Port Pourt with a request to contract Blackjack to accompany him in serving the eldritch horror Quackthulhu for copyright violations, the drunk monk is quick to volunteer. But the problem is, he’s not currently a drunk monk. He’s also not a wholly sober monk so much as a massively hungover monk.

Bernie is about to find out in this fantasy adventure gone wrong that dragging Blackjack to the Lair of Lovedraft is probably more effort than it’s worth.
