Eric Koester was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He moved to Washington, DC where he is a professor at Georgetown University (the only two-time professor of the year) and teaches creative and nonfiction writing. He is the father of three daughters Quinn, Parker & Aven (who inspired the titular characters of The Pennymores).
