Synopsis

THE DEADLY PAY-OFF

Calahan sends a couple of his goons to pick up Tank Tabor for a little talk. Calahan, the town boss, has a proposition for him. If Tank can persuade his brother Bill to drop his investigation of Calahan, they’ll let Bill live. Tank is a gambler, and he knows the odds aren’t with him, but he’s got to try. Bill is too honest for his own good—he’s going to bring Calahan down no matter what the threat.

But Calahan has a special plan in mind for Tank, and not only has him thrown in jail for contributing to a minor, but sets up Tank as a killer as well. Now it’s just Tank, his friend Jock, and his lady-love Tess against all the cops and crooks in town. And the odds are definitely not in their favor.
