Synopsis

"The Trig Approach can change the way you think, teach and learn the game of basketball"
-Coach JJ Outlaw (assistant coach Cleveland Cavaliers)

Offenses are complex adaptive systems designed to bring a team together for a singular mission: to score.

In a game, action often appears random, pace frenetic and key variables unpredictable. Players attempt to collectively succeed under these conditions and coaches try to assist them. Since the game’s inception, the attempt of effective and efficient self-organization, combined with the evolutionary process of offensive strategy and design has been its story… and its greatest challenge.

Coach Dodd introduces a complete offense that balances the power dynamic between a coaches direction and player allowances. The key is unlocking the potential for players to self-organize in a manner which is fast, fluid, instinctive and smart. Coach Dodd creates the design, but allows the players to make the offense theirs.

The book includes:

• 155 pages/7 chapters covering in-depth the planning, structure and design of the offense
• over 400 intricate and colorful diagrams demonstrating how to execute the fast break, man offense, zone offense and BLOB/SLOB plays
• 8 essential offensive that are used to not only reinforce critical skill development but also the offensive system
