Dimple Abichandani is a nationally recognized philanthropic leader, writer, and innovator who has spent the last two decades working to transform philanthropy. She began her philanthropic career building out the Third Wave Fund, which has maintained its roots in resourcing youth-led, intersectional, gender justice movements for more than two decades. As the founding director of the Rise Together Fund, Dimple helped create and lead the first national donor collaborative to invest in grassroots Muslim, Arab, and South Asian organizations fighting Islamophobia. She previously served as an Executive Director of the General Service Foundation. As a Grantmaker, she earned a Scrivener Award for Creative Grantmaking. Her work has been featured in publications, including the Stanford Social Innovation Review and Inside Philanthropy. Now, she serves as a Fellow with the National Center for Family Philanthropy, on the Board of Directors of Solidaire Network, and the Steering Committee of the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project.
