Synopsis

Oftentimes, those of us raised in the ghetto never have our voices heard when injustices strikes; however, in rare occasions, videos have surfaced exposing some of these atrocities. Nevertheless, those unexposed and unreported wrongs when inflicted causes depression if treatment isn't sought. My poetry is truly my justice. Writing this book gives me a voice that's been silent because of an unbalance society. So open your mind and take a dive into The Silent Ghetto Poetry of Aki Rashi. The subject matter of many poems in this book may relate with millions of readers' life experiences, opinions, or fantasies. Opening the mind even to erotic adventures with poems such as "My Imaginary Love Cloud," "Erotic Sounds of de 21st Century," and "A Fantasy for You." Each poem was handwritten, inspired and based on some fortunate or misfortunate experience that impacted the author's inner spirit emotionally; whereby, leaving him no remedy (even at law many times) than putting it in written form that results over the years manifest this poetry book. For the adult readers conveniences and to ensure mature contents are safeguarded from children when reading aloud, the author has placed the poetry in sections such as "Social," "Love," "Spiritual," "Political," and "Maturity." Even when life seems to treat one in a rough way, there's a poem in this book that can brighten a reader's dimmest day.
