Synopsis

Sierra Nevada Mountains 1880

What would a small smart-mouthed orphaned boy, a beautiful Midwest Businesswoman on the run from a party of hired guns, and an Apache found dying in the Mojave Desert have in common with Railroad Engineer Jonathan Labounty, packing his way into the Sierra Nevada Mountains on a four week "leave me be' camping getaway.

Take a ride into this hell bent for leather Saga, where unwanted adventure involving cold-hearted killers, muscle and blood, twists and turns, complications and raw human courage collide, where enemies are made, friendships are born, and on the way, love blossoms...all at a high cost.

À propos de l'auteur

How exciting it is to allow our imaginations to run free, to dream, to pretend in our thoughts; to be whisked away to another time and another place by an adventurous ride inside a good book or sit in the magic of the big screen. While I publish in various genres, the old West is one of my favorites to write. Reaching back to childhood of the 50s and 60s, sitting on the floor eyes glued to the TV watching Western Series like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman, Big Valley and all the rest. The old wild west nostalgia never left my soul, and I grew up determined to keep it alive, and now, older, I bring it back into my life and the lives of others through the pages of cowboys and Indians and Pioneer stories. In the tradition and loving memory of great western writers such as Zane Grey and Louis L'Amour. Through great American Authors like these, life in the wild west will never die, it will forever remain a bold and adventurous segment of American History, consisting of the good, the bad, and yes, some ugly. Nevertheless, human behavior is cultivated by learning and remembering our history. It is the backbone of our Civilization.
