Honesty. Feeling. Personal Growth.
This book is a raw and deeply intimate record of one woman's emotional, creative, and spiritual evolution. From the first page to the last, the reader is taken on a journey that refuses to hide behind perfection. Instead, it embraces vulnerability as strength.
Through a blend of poetry, reflection, and unfiltered truth, the author explores what it means to grow-not quietly or neatly, but boldly, messily, and with an open heart. These pages are an invitation for others to be honest with themselves, to admit what they feel, and to allow their own stories to unfold without shame.
This is not poetry meant to sound graceful it is poetry meant to feel real.
Gina Douglas grew up in Michigan and now lives in Tennessee. A lifelong writer, she has been putting words on paper since childhood, long before she understood why she needed to. Outside the page, she trains in MMA and holds a blue belt in Krav Maga disciplines that mirror the same themes found in her work: discipline, resilience, and learning to stand back up.
Her writing blends emotional truth with lived experience, offering readers space to reflect, breathe, and recognize parts of themselves they've long tried to quiet. This is her journey-honest, imperfect, and alive.
