Synopsis

The establishment of the new competency-based curriculum introduced by NCISM is the principal stimulus for this manual.

The main trait of this book is the detailed images aligning with the NCISM competency-based curriculum. The images presented were taken from the department of Anatomy at Sri Sairam Siddha Medical College and Research Centre, Chennai 44. All the images have been labelled clearly.

To ensure comprehensive understanding, we have chosen all possible specimens and prepared a list of potential spotter questions from those topics. Each region is covered in a separate chapter with figures numbered individually. Our aim is to make this manual a user-friendly tool for both practical exams and Viva voce. It is also useful for external therapies and other clinical practices.

The hallmark of this manual is the presentation of original dissected specimens and bones for illustration. We thank our management for allowing us to use the specimens. The page layout and alignment have been meticulously handled by Mr. Ajay without compromising on quality.
