This is the story of Raghu. He escaped to the forests of North Kerala wuth Shumbani, his beloved, who was from a lower caste. They escaped the vengeance of irate relatives. Their sojourn in the hills is shattered by murderous loggers in consort with a corrupt politician. Shumbani's skull is shattered and her memories go awry. She assumes that her husband is dead and that Raghu is her brother. Raghu accepts fate. He exacts vengeance on the politician in a fit of rage. Shumbani finds new inspiration and new love. Raghu returns to the hills with Sophy, an undercover agent from the west. Together and with the elephants by their side they take on a drug syndicate setting up a factory in the forest.
