"Who is responsible for the poor?"
Law Lamar, a middle-aged accountant living in a comfortable suburb of Birmingham, Alabama, became convicted that the answer was "Me." That led him begin work in the poorest, most rural counties in Alabama, areas that were everything his life was not, a place where people had never had the simple things most of us in the United States take for granted.
He didn't always have a plan. He just listened to the people the Lord put in front of him, then he connected them with other people that the Lord put in front of him. And needs were met, in very simple ways. The extraordinary thing is, anyone can do this. Even you.
