The author grew up in Washington State in a town called Port Orchard. She now divides her time between Sekiu and Spokane Valley, Washington, with her husband and beloved dog, Captain. Formerly a homeschooling mother, medical language specialist, and member of the Southeast Spokane County Historical Society, and most recently, she has retired from running a family business. Besides writing, her hobbies include reading, research, music, and, along with her husband, fishing.
