The Author grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and currently resides in Austin, TX with her partner and cat. She has a BA in English and an MA in Clinical Mental Health. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate that works with issues of substance, attachment, grief and life transitions. She is an advocate for expressive arts and the therapeutic value of writing. The act of writing in the form of poems, personal essays, short stories, and journal entries have been a source of joy and tool for self-development throughout her life.
