Synopsis
Today’s poetry is too often so personalized or obscure that the average reader can make little or no sense from it. Paradoxically, there is also much poetry of the hallmark card variety – expressing emotions and ideas so simplistically as to be worthless to the reader seeking enjoyment in wordplay.
