In a family of spirited women, the courage of one shapes the future for all.
Anyone can be a hero. Including Gemma Porter—a twenty-six-year-old woman who longs to be a mother. But at every turn, Gemma is underestimated by a world that pigeonholes her as “intellectually disabled.”
Yet, Gemma’s abilities far outshine her “disabilities,” and unexpected miracles follow her wherever she goes—a truth that only her beloved grandmother seems to notice. But when danger strikes in the small town of Sugar Creek, four generations of Porter women are put in peril. Gemma must risk everything to save the ones she loves.
Gemma is a story of raw courage, a woman’s quest for independence, and a mother’s love that knows no bounds, regardless of age or intellect.
