ED TAZELAAR, the eldest of ten siblings, learned early the values of faith, family, and leadership. At nineteen, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served with the 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam. A people person at heart, Ed later joined the police department, wherehe served his community and worked for several years as Officer Friendly with local elementary students.After seven years in law enforcement, Ed became an independent licensed insurance agent and broker, continuing his lifelong commitment to helping others. Drawing from his real-life experiences, Ed now shares an extraordinary chapter of his life in this book, an experience that began in the summer of 1980.
