Synopsis

If you're fans of Final Fantasy, D&D's Forgotten Realms, or the Shannara Chronicles by Terry Brooks, then this read is for you. Packed with adventure, found families, and prophetic warnings, the Onyx Stone creates a post-apocalyptic world surrounded in mythical legend that will keep you guessing and wanting to know more. The First broke the world. It's about to be broken again, and only the powers of her blood can break the seal... Ford Sterling and Sera Beltane are tasked with a mission to retrieve the fabled Onyx Stone, an object that can turn normal people into those with mind-influencing powers known as Chondrials. Accompanied by Rupert, a professor with his own goals in mind, they hope to retrieve the Onyx Stone before a man looking to finish what the First started can get his hands on it. Friendships and bonds will be formed. Trials will be endured. Will they find the stone in time and prevent it from being used by those who wish to destroy what's left of the world... again?

À propos des auteurs

Rey Nichols, a native of the Midwest, is the love child of an Eldritch horror with more apostrophes than letters in its name and the front person of a forgotten 80's rock band she can't quite remember the name of. Only two degrees away from Kevin Bacon, when Rey is not busy trying to evade capture from monster hunters, she spends her time writing urban fantasy and sci-fi detective noir.

Misty Massey is the author of Mad Kestrel, a rollicking adventure of magic on the high seas, and Kestrel's Dance, the winner of the 2023 Palmetto Scribe Award for Best Novel. When she's not writing, Misty plays Malibu, the cheerful, sun-drenched cleric, on the Authors and Dragons podcast sister show, Calamity Janes.

Sean is a 38-year-old husband, cat and puppy dad, student, social justice advocate, and lover of words. He completed his Master of Arts in Sociology, specializing in Queer culture, in the fall of 2025. He is using his voice to write queer characters that show the beauty, value, and vibrancy.
