THE VOW OF HONESTY WAY OF LIVING is the first book of its kind. Gary Joseph Hobbins invites you to form and monitor your conscience in complete honesty. The book is especially intended for parents and educators. Gary discovered that being completely honest with yourself and others is the missing link to enlightenment. We all know that most of us lie. Gary explains that committed honesty takes us out of our sense of separation from one another, while honesty connects our hearts. He found that the fundamental virtue of honesty sets the foundation that awakens us to knowing our shared inner nature.
Part memoir and part spiritual guide, the first volume traces the author's journey from childhood struggles with religious conditioning to stand-up comedy, which culminated in a phenomenal vision of a cloud appearing before him. In the cloud were the heads of people from different cultures. The vision told Gary that we share the same Higher Self in our unique bodies, along with our lower self-egos, and that when we merge the two in union, we become enlightened. Through years of research and contemplation, Gary realized that this same Self that we share is the Universal Self of Universal Consciousness. The book contains the overlooked fundamentals for higher awakening.
