Synopsis

They Didn't Plan on Falling In Love During A Global Pandemic

Poppy Daley is staying on her parents' Catmint Gap homestead when the global pandemic traps them abroad. Their chickens and gardens can't take care of themselves, and Poppy's job can be done from her laptop.

Disgraced TV writer Nick Cooper is hiding out in a rented cabin up the mountain from the Daley's property, oblivious to his neighbors until an old friend gets lost dropping off a care package and offends the girl next door, bringing Lilac Lane's only residents into one another's orbits.

Poppy and Nick share an instant connection, but masks and social distancing hardly lend themselves to romance...or do they? When the quarantine curveballs keep coming, it's up to Nick to prove to Poppy that misfortune can only delay the best laid plans.

The Best Laid Plans is a standalone novella set in the world of the Thornton Vermont Series. Thornton Vermont and Green Mountain Hearts series readers will recognize some familiar characters and locations.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Cameron D. Garriepy attended a small Vermont college in a town very like Thornton. She's missed it since the day she packed up her Subaru and drove off into the real world. Some might say she created the fictional village as wish fulfillment, and they would be correct. She is the author of the Thornton Vermont series, and the founder of Bannerwing Books, a co-op of independent authors. Prior to Bannerwing, Cameron was an editor at Write on Edge, where she curated three volumes of the online writing group's literary anthology, Precipice. Cameron appeared in the inaugural cast of Listen to Your Mother - Boston, and irregularly contributes flash fiction to the Word Count Podcast.Since her time at Middlebury College, Cameron has worked as a camp counselor, nanny, pastry cook, an event ticket resale specialist, and an office manager. Cameron's ghost-writing and editing hides in the tech and finance sectors. In her spare time, she is an archer, a baker, a gardener, a knitter, and a reader of a lot of romance novels.Cameron writes from the greater Boston area, where she lives with her husband, son, four naughty hens, and a pug named after a salad topping.
