With the late Sarah Gaines, Billy landed a five-album deal with Benson Records in the late 80s, and rose to prominence as an R&B trailblazer, garnering six number-one singles on Contemporary Christian radio, and a number-two video on BET. Recent accomplishments are his singing/acting role in the Kathie Lee Gifford movie "The Way" as the character Moses
