Dr. Kimberly A. Matthews is an Author, Professor, and Researcher. Playing teacher and writing stories were her two favorite childhood pastimes. Her body of work includes children's books and nonfiction historical books. Her projects focus on empowerment, diversity and inclusion, and leadership. Dr. Matthews completed her Ph.D. in the field of Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Gus Rasich is an Illustrator based in Richmond, Virginia. He is passionate about using visual arts as a tool to educate and empower. He has worked on illustrations for field guides, children's books, music promotion, and a range of freelance work. He is currently studying Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University.
