Eaton's in the 1960's was the premier department store in Montreal, Canada. In this book the reader will experience the real historical events of the turbulent 1960's as seen through the eyes of Eaton’s Montreal store manager Richard Dean.
Richard Dean is the youngest store manager in all of Eaton’s Canada department stores. After working his way up through the ranks in this showplace Montreal store, Richard's life becomes intertwined with that of his employees, and customers, but little does he know that his responsibilities will soon increase due to the turbulent 1960’s events that will lead from the Montreal streets into the grand Eaton’s store.
You will walk the floors of Eaton's with Richard, getting to know the store, and her daily traumas and best of all her personnel. But amidst that, you will relive the terrible frightening night Eaton’s and all Montreal was under attack: the Montreal night of terror, and experience first-hand the FLQ Terrorist Bombings, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau’s War Measures Act, The Murray Hill Limousine Attack, and much more.
But this story is a love affair, not just with this magnificent store and its people, but with Montreal and her incredible historical sites. And also with Richard Dean. You will fall in love with him and root, for him as his personal and business life, collide into one moment that will change his life forever.
You will be captivated reading every exciting chapter of this, "Can’t put it down book!" But most of all you will never forget this incredible store, that sadly,no longer exists, and the people who worked at Eaton’s During the Second French Revolution

Kenneth A. Bray was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1943, the son of an engraver and a homemaker. His first job, at the age of fourteen was a runner for a sportswear manufacturer, followed at sixteen as a carrier boy in the Montreal Eaton's store. That began his career at Eaton's, which spanned approximately eleven years. He quickly rose in position to merchandise manager status, supervising numerous basement departments and over one hundred and twenty-five personnel. One of his greatest achievements within his basement departments was the creation of the historic Teen Fashion Show, featuring amateur models from his various departments. He was also one of the youngest managers ever in all Easton's Canada. In nineteen sixty-nine, he moved with his family to the United States to take a position as President of Tana Company of America. In later years Bray owned a Canadian fashion import business, general contracting business, built over one hundred houses, an international consulting business, consulted on the creation and development of over forty international businesses, and finally a Greetings on Gold greeting card and art manufacturing business. Upon retirement, at the age of seventy-five, he began writing his book about his time at Eaton's during the turbulent 1960's. His primary motivation for documenting those years was the preservation of facts surrounding the waning years of Eaton's and the historic account of Montreal under FLQ threats.
