Ran Wei Baker is a Chinese American and AAPI author and mother creating bilingual children's books that celebrate Asian culture, language, and family life. She is the founder of Boba Bear Bilingual, a collection of Chinese-English stories and learning resources designed to support early language development while helping children feel seen, proud, and connected to their cultural heritage.Inspired by everyday experiences with her family, including hiking, singing, and traveling together, Ran's creative work reflects themes of curiosity, connection, and exploration. Her stories focus on representation, intergenerational storytelling, and making Chinese language and culture accessible through joyful, relatable moments. Her books are carried by independent bookstores and used by schools and libraries seeking inclusive, culturally relevant children's literature.
