A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Hi I'm Shaziya M. Jaffer,

I'm an Elementary teacher working in the Burnaby School District. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and watch my daughter play ice hockey.

I'm so excited to be a part of Scrap U Kids so I can help educate children about the importance of recycling and taking care of the Earth. I'm learning at the same time and hoping to share my knowledge with others so we can work together to keep our earth clean and healthy for all.

Brad W. Rudover was born into a family recycling business and spent much of his childhood in or around a scrap yard. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Small Business Management from Ferris State University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Washington University. With his combination of formal and informal education (lessons from an entrepreneur Father, management positions in small businesses and large corporations, along with several entrepreneurial ventures of his own - Detroit Scrap, Scrap University, Scrap University Kids), Brad has a deep understanding of business. Despite this accumulation of traditional business training, Brad conducts business with gratitude and generosity.
Meet Jessica Alexanderson, better known as "Scuba Jess" to the world, a passionate environmentalist and adventurer hailing from the beautiful city of Seattle, WA. With a deep love for the ocean, she has made it her mission to explore its depths and preserve its delicate ecosystems.

Scuba diving is not just a hobby for Scuba Jess; it's a way of life. Armed with her trusty underwater camera, she dives into the mesmerizing underwater world, capturing breathtaking photos of the diverse sea creatures she encounters. But her dedication doesn't stop at photography. Scuba Jess takes action to protect the ocean and its inhabitants, regularly organizing clean-up dives to remove trash and debris that threaten marine life. Recycling is close to her heart, and she tirelessly ensures that as much of the collected trash as possible is given a new life through proper recycling practices.

Scuba Jess realized that she wanted to create a more direct impact on the environment, especially on young minds. With boundless enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference, she joined forces with Brad and Shaziya to establish Scrap University Kids. Through this initiative, they educate children about the importance of recycling metal to protect our oceans. Her message is clear: opt for metal whenever possible and ensure it finds its way to local scrap yards for recycling, as metal can be reused indefinitely.

Let's work together to save our amazing oceans and planet! Please recycle!
Live Long and Prosper!

At Scrap University Kids, our goal is to eliminate metal from the waste stream within the next 30 years through education. We want to teach kids that their everyday actions make a lasting impact on the environment. Choosing to use reusable or recyclable materials is one way we can make a difference. All metal can be recycled, so if you can choose, please choose metal.

Together, we can help protect our amazing planet and even improve it for the next generation.
