Synopsis

Mojac Pact

It all could have ended.

Five hundred years have passed since humankind escaped its brush with extinction by the Plague. A new civilization flourishes, though ugly scars remain willfully unseen. Blamed for the apocalypse, the fields of science have been legally held in stasis while the ruling class has prospered in a two-tier society.

The Plague did not leave without placing its irrevocable calling card. Human DNA has been forever altered, and a rare few possess the Morgan-Jackson mutation. These "Mojacs" are as reviled as any other Plague-mutated animal, but a secretive scientist has discovered that the denigrated Mojacs are the only ones who can wield the forbidden technology he has created to turn back the rise of a global crime organization and its shadowy allies. To succeed, the Mojacs must bind themselves to this technology: a life-long, life-altering commitment - the Pact.

A storm is coming.

À propos des auteurs

Jim has had the honor of having three former careers from which he is now retired: an officer in the U.S. Air Force, a physician, and a teacher of science. A lifelong fascination with science fiction and fantasy - books, movies, and games - has fueled his enjoyment of writing in these genres. Over the years, his fictional worlds have been entwined with his deep admiration for nature and a relentless idealism toward a better world grounded on the premises of human equality, decency, and truth. Somehow, his family still loves him, for which he is ever grateful.

Jess is a paralegal by day and conjures stories at night while her rescue Chihuahua snores on her lap. She has been an avid science fiction fan ever since experiencing the original Star Wars movie - in utero - back in 1977.
