Synopsis

This full color missal is designed as a bridge to the use of a complete traditional Latin missal, or as a missal for those who find complete missals too taxing. It is derived from the Roman Catholic Daily Missal of 1962. Archaic English grammar, usage, and word order have been modernized for easier understanding. All Sundays and holy days of obligation are included, together with most feasts of the Saints. Each Sunday or feast day includes the Epistle and Gospel readings in accurate, but simplified, English translation. The Ordinary provides English translations. In cases where the language is difficult, a simpler paraphrase has been substituted and indicated as such. Publicly spoken Latin prayers are included with the English, helping the faithful to better follow the Mass, and helping potential servers to learn the prayers. Catholic prayers and litanies are included as well. This missal has 140 pieces of classic art depicting the life of Christ, Catholic doctrine, and the Saints. The text is in large font size for easy reading.
