Mariah Clark Skewes, known in her real life as Mary Boyle, holds degrees in Psychology and Special Education, as well as multiple teaching and administrative credentials. Her life work has been reaching out to children and their caregivers to encourage growth toward positive goals - both academically and personally. Having experienced significant childhood trauma herself, she knows its effects can be overcome and that happiness and success in adulthood are possible. Mariah/Mary has four amazing adult children, three grandchildren, and a loving husband. She and her husband reside on acreage in the Sierra foothills of Northern California, where they raise wine grapes, Babydoll Southdown Sheep and honeybees. Mariah/Mary is committed to continuous curiosity about her world, and when not writing or enjoying their property, she can be found running on trails, competing in world marathons and travelling.
