Many of our politicians gain tremendous wealth and power by keeping us divided and hopeless, especially during an election year. They divide us by spreading lies and fear, or they offer false hope and performative justice.

But there is a lot that we can do to counter these narratives and in fact solve many of the problems that we face. There are ways to see past the caricature we are presented with of those that disagree with us, and ways we can work together to solve the problems we face.

The U.S. used to provide affordable healthcare, and education. Our people supported workers’ rights. We used to invest in our people. We are being told that we can’t do those things, and gaslit into thinking that the crippling healthcare and educational debt being forced upon is our fault.

We have fought hard to conquer these problems before, and we can do it again. We can work together towards a more honest and just society. We can repair the damage done to our society from the lies we have been told.

Coming Together helps us see the humanity in one another as well as providing an action plan for how we can work together and fix many of the problems we face in our country.
