À propos de l'auteur

Rudolph Edward Cover (1915-2007), better known simply as Rudy Cover, authored these simple stories to share mainly with the children of the readers of the Bible Monitor between 1968 and 1982.

Rudy and his wife Esther (Hitch) Cover were very well known as friendly and encouraging people, often ministering to the children. Rudy and Esther had been members of the Old Brethren Church since before their marriage in 1936. In 1968, they became members of the Pleasant Home Congregation of the Dunkard Brethren Church in Modesto, California. He was elected to the ministry in 1971 and in 1981 ordained to the Eldership.

Rudy held several revival meetings as a part of his ministry. The children were often captivated by Rudy telling these or similar stories and making applications from his life as a part of his ministry. Even the adults were entertained by his humor, simple stories, and the scientific facts he presented in his regular sermons. He wanted to keep everything as simple as possible for all ages as he preached the gospel.
