Synopsis

Marijuana. Pot. Weed. Medicine. No matter what you choose to call it, the cannabis plant is pushing its way into mainstream American culture and the mainstream church. How the church responds to the cannabis conversation has a significant impact on the Kingdom of God. The world outside the church is actively engaging in this conversation and, as a result, their world view is dominating the discussion. The shift in how Americans view marijuana creates new opportunities for discussion along with a new set of problems to be worked through, especially for the church. What we are seeing now is nothing more than a shift back to the view Americans held prior to the twentieth century. The Cannabis Conversation provides the reader with some important historical data on the cannabis plant along with a biblical view, both for and against, cannabis use. The goal is not to lead the reader to a conclusion on this touchy subject, instead presenting the facts, data and Scripture in an unbiased way that opens the door for genuine, Christ honoring conversations. From cannabis as medicine to the gateway drug title, The Cannabis Conversation presents the facts, myths and biblical view of this volatile subject.
