Synopsis

The Rider’s Bane is a tale of bravery and the pursuit of purpose in a meaningless world.

For lifetimes, The Rider has emerged from the Hallowed Woods to guide the living peacefully through death and into the afterlife. But when young Argo receives his letter to travel with The Rider, he decides against waiting for death to come to him. Instead, he makes the bold decision to give his life meaning through a tale worth remembering. Accompanied only by his loyal dog, Wander, the two journey bravely into the forbidden land to seek out The Rider himself. However, not only are these Hallowed Woods more than they seem, but their daunting quest may threaten the peaceful agreement between The Rider and the world they leave behind. Argo must weigh his desire for meaning and adventure against a world determined to maintain the status quo. Join Argo and his dog, Wander, on an unforgettable journey in The Rider's Bane.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Jacob Acebo is a native Tejano born and raised in Corpus Christi where he grew up playing videogames, surfing, and causing mayhem outdoors. He holds a degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University, where he participated as a member of Company K-2 in the Corps of Cadets and the Texas A&M Recon Company. It was a debaucherously great time of growth, unfettered masculinity, and low grades. After graduation in 2015, Jacob commissioned in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii where he served two deployments as an Infantry Officer before earning the title of Reconnaissance Marine. In 2021, after six years of unforgettable friends, Hawaiian sunsets, and unbelievable surf, he left the military to return to his home in Texas. Today, Jacob resides in Georgetown, TX and is working towards his MBA at St. Edward's University. In his free time, he shares his love for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors through his Instagram account, @SilentStagChronicles. He is a proud father of two dogs, Luna, who served as the inspiration for Wander, and a puppy rightfully named Argos.
