Nancy Lopez is a native Nuyorican (New York-born-and-raised Puerto Rican) who relocated to the South with her husband Tommy and raised their son there. They live in Charlotte, NC, embracing the community in different ways, especially with their music: smooth jazz, Latin music and oldies. At any time you may find Tommy playing his flute and Nancy singing in Spanish or English at a local festival or private venue. Nancy has been singing with the North Mecklenburg Community Chorus and Community Singers of Lake Norman for over 20 years. She loves the outdoors and is living a second childhood-of-sorts herself, camping, leading area hikes, and paddling lakes and rivers in her kayak.
